Puppy/Beginners Course

For a while now, I have thought that the traditional puppy class was not the best training environment for a puppy.

– Too many distractions, expecting a young pup to learn in a setting where they cannot concentrate

– Nervous puppies can be overwhelmed and anxiety results

– Trainer distracted by “needy” pups and others not getting enough attention

– One size fits all training without concentrating on a pup’s specific needs

– Classes generally held in the evening when pups aren’t at their best, either tired or overstimulated

– Owners think that classes are for socialisation whereas socialisation takes place in the outside world, not a false environment like a puppy class

– It becomes a “tick box” exercise and owners don’t really get much out of it

For these reasons and more, I have decided to swap from the traditional puppy class model to 121 puppy classes.  The course will comprise 3 x 1 hour sessions, held in Alsager (out in the real world!), to be booked at your convenience.  I can travel to your home to do the course at an additional cost for travel. I am able to do weekday daytimes, evenings, Saturdays or Sundays.

The course will include all of the basics of obedience, Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Wait, Leadwork and Recall aswell as advice on play/stimulation and dealing with typical puppy problems but will be fully tailored to your individual needs.  The course can also be tailored to work with older dogs.  We also send weekly video demonstrations to you to help you practice at home.  A free eBook is included as a reference guide.  You will also have ongoing unlimited support from a qualified Canine Behaviourist.   Your investment will be  £150 for the full course, payable on booking.  We offer payment in instalments via ClearPay.
